Well it’s day 3 of our long weekend and we were suitably hungover on Friday and after a busy Saturday spent at the Brighton Food Festival (looking not eating) and this morning spent car-booting I thought I would go foraging for blackberries.
I got a good haul, not enough for Jam but enough to combine with some other frozen berries to make a reduced sugar bumbleberry crumble for today’s dessert.
Ingredients
Foraged Blackberries,
frozen blueberrys & cherries
165g self raising Flour
80g unsalted butter
65g granulated brown sweetener
Method
Arrange your fruit in a pie dish
Crumb the flour & butter together
When consistency of breadcrumbs add sugar
Mix with a fork
Sprinkle over the berries
Bake in oven for 20 minutes
